Overview

Receiving Intelligence is NFL Fantasy Mate's live evaluation system for pass catchers.

It monitors how a player's receiving profile develops throughout the current NFL regular season by separating current performance, movement and surrounding context.

Unlike Historical Intelligence, which evaluates completed seasons, Receiving Intelligence focuses on what is happening now.

Who Is Evaluated

Receiving Intelligence evaluates:

• wide receivers;
• tight ends;
• running backs as receivers.

Each position is evaluated within its own positional comparison group.

Wide receivers are compared only with wide receivers, tight ends with tight ends, and receiving running backs with other receiving running backs.

Running backs appear here because they compete for targets and receiving production within the passing offense. Their rushing performance is evaluated separately through Rushing Intelligence.

Why Receiving Intelligence Exists

Receiving Intelligence monitors how receiving performance evolves while the season is still in progress.

Roles change, target shares shift, efficiency rises and falls, injuries reshape receiving groups and offensive hierarchies continue to evolve throughout the season.

The engine allows users to evaluate these developments as they happen rather than waiting until the season has ended.

The Three Layers of a Receiving Profile

Every Receiving Intelligence profile combines three complementary layers:

• Current Profile
• Movement
• Context

Together they explain where the player stands today, how the profile is moving and what additional information should be considered when interpreting the results.

Current Profile

The Current Profile answers:

It includes Overall Score together with the Role, Volume, Efficiency, After Catch and Production categories.

Movement

Movement answers:

Movement includes Trend Strength, Momentum, L5 Trend, Season Trend, OTI and Weekly Changes.

Context

Context answers:

Context includes Team Context, Baseline, Projection, Projection Confidence, Returned From Absence, Missing Alpha and Dynasty Market.

Relationship with Other Engines

Historical Intelligence evaluates completed seasons, while Receiving Intelligence evaluates the current season.

Running backs may appear in both Receiving Intelligence and Rushing Intelligence because the two engines evaluate different aspects of their game.

What Receiving Intelligence Is Not
