A quarterback may produce strong totals through volume while remaining only average in efficiency.

Another may operate very efficiently without reaching the same total production.

Passing Production

Passing Production describes the realised output generated through the passing game.

It reflects what the quarterback ultimately delivered as a passer during the completed season.

Production and Efficiency should be interpreted separately.

Production explains what was achieved.

Efficiency helps explain how effectively it was achieved.

Pressure Handling

Pressure Handling describes how the quarterback performed when the passing environment became more difficult.

It adds context that ordinary passing production may not reveal.

Some quarterbacks maintain strong performance when protection breaks down.

Others depend more heavily on clean offensive conditions.

Pressure Handling should be read as one part of the complete quarterback profile rather than as a standalone historical ranking.

Playmaking

Historical Rushing is adapted specifically for full-season evaluation and should not be assumed to match the live Passing Intelligence rushing category exactly.

Historical Overall Score

The Historical Quarterback Overall Score combines the five categories into one completed-season evaluation.

Players with similar Historical Overall Scores may still have very different profiles.

For example:

• one season may be driven by Passing Efficiency and Production;
• another may rely on Playmaking and Rushing;
• another may remain balanced across all five categories.

The category profile should therefore always be reviewed alongside the Historical Overall Score.

Relationship with Live Passing Intelligence

Historical Quarterbacks and live Passing Intelligence share the same broad analytical philosophy but serve different purposes.
